Helene Albrecht

Helene teaches musicianship and piano in London. She trained in Aachen, Germany. and started her musical career in the early 1990s with focus on chamber music and early years music education. In 1995, she and her musical partner were awarded the Promotion Prize of the Catholic Women Society Germany (KFD) for their research and performance project on women composers. Since 2004 Helene has started working with churches in Frankfurt and in London and took up lessons with the Referat Kirchenmusik Bistum Limburg, Germany, and with the Royal College of Organists. Between 2020 and 2024 Helene co-founded and co-led the SWO’s research group on women composers of organ and liturgical works.
