Sophia Membery
ARCO, DipABRSM
Sophia has studied piano, harp, conducting and composition at the Royal College of Music Junior Department for 8 years, and also plays violin, viola and sings. She passed the Associateship of the Royal College of Organists (ARCO) diploma at age 16, being awarded the Limpus prize and the Lord St Audries prize. She has held organ scholarships at Christ Church, Chelsea and St Michael and All Angels, Barnes in London. She performs regularly around the UK including at St Paul’s, Winchester and Arundel Cathedrals, as well as playing at St Patrick’s Cathedral and St Thomas Fifth Avenue in New York City. She has played in masterclasses with Dan Moult in London and Thomas Trotter at Merton College, Oxford. Sophia has been involved in music outreach for several years and runs taster sessions introducing primary school students to the organ.
