Marion Peutherer

Marion fell in love with playing the organ at the age of 15, studying with Jean Cooper Smith, who inspired a life-long love of JSB! She focused on playing her bassoon during her music degree and didn’t get back to the bench for 18 years. Realising the error of her ways, since 2012 she has studied with Michael Stoddart, Michael Haynes & James Parsons, pursuing long-held ambitions to achieve various diplomas, alongside a busyworking life as an HR manager for a global FMCG. She also enjoys singing with Newcastle Cathedral’s women’s choir, Schola Cantorum.
