Angela

Angela Laycock

Angela is a post-Masters graduate from Trinity. She is also blind, and learns music from Braille and by ear. Predominantly a church organist, she also plays flute, accordion, and Celtic harp, and is a qualified braille music instructor.

Kira

Kira Lee

Kira is currently a music student and choral exhibitioner at Merton College, Oxford. Her love of choral music, and various organ works by Olivier Messiaen prompted her to start teaching herself the organ at 17. She has enjoyed taking part in the Cambridge Organ Experience for Girls and having the opportunity to play on various organs whilst participating in Rodolfus Choral Courses. Kira is also a violinist and enjoys playing a variety of music in chamber ensembles, including her own film music arrangements.

Kathryn

Kathryn Leeke

MA(Oxon), ARCO, DipABRSM

Kathryn is an organist, pianist and choral director from Surrey. Kathryn was organ scholar of Merton College Oxford, gaining a first-class Music degree and prizes at ARCO, influenced by her great teachers Robert Munns, Ian Curror, David Goode and Stephen Farr. In previous roles at St Chad’s Church Shrewsbury and as Director of Chapel Music at Shrewsbury School, Kathryn was involved in several radio and BBC television broadcasts. Currently Kathryn examines for the ABRSM and RSCM, and teaches at Ardingly College and Thomas’ Battersea. She also directs The Redbury Singers in memory of her late husband, organist and conductor David Leeke.

Janet

Janet Lees

Janet is an amateur basic organist playing for local churches and her own pleasure. She is an encourager of other women organists.

Fiona

Fiona Loader

BMus, MMus, ATCL, LTCL, Dip. ABRSM

Fiona is an Australian organist, pianist, singer and composer. She has given recitals in Australia and in 2019 gave a concert in the Vasa Cathedral, Stockholm as well as performing as a concerto soloist.

She is involved in promoting the music of female composers in Australia.

In April she will be giving a solo recital at St Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney, Australia at which she will be performing works by Chaminade, Boulanger, Demessieux, McDowall and her own composition.

Linda

Linda Lorenzen

BA, BS, MS

Linda is a professional organist, currently the liturgical organist at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas Louisiana. She began playing organ and taking organ lessons at age 13 at the Methodist Church in Milton New York and has held many positions over the years. She holds a BA, BS and MS and has composed several pieces for organ and piano.

Nicky

Nicky Losseff

BMus, ARAM, LRAM, PhD

Having been a lifelong pianist, Nicky took up the organ at the age of 58. She plays regularly at Stillingfleet church near York. In the past, she published books, academic articles and reviews on medieval music, gender, and psychoanalysis. However, since retiring from a university post, she now has fun, playing piano and organ for events and in various ways for the community.

Linda

Linda Lowseck

Linda began organ playing in my 50s through the Church of Scotland Presbytery Organ Training scheme and plays weekly in church. She's had the benefit of excellent teachers and has passed ABRSM exams to G7.

Shari

Shari Lucas

BM, MM

Shari Lucas earned her Bachelor of Music from the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music. She earned her Master of Music from the Yale School of Music where she studied with Dr. Robert Baker. Past endeavors include being Dean of the New Haven AGO, playing accompaniments to silent films and playing with the Heartbeat Dixieland Jazz Band. She is currently the Minister of Music at First Church in Middletown Connecticut, USA, where she directs two handbell groups, two vocal choirs and provides all service music.

Natascha

Natascha Majevskaja

Natascha is a concert organist, pianist, and singer whose motto is: “See music – hear images.” As a composer and arranger, her organ works include duets for four hands and four feet. 4 organ productions "Organ is more!" - including on one of the largest concert organs in Europe in the UNESCO city of Bamberg. Her singing as vox humana to the simultaneously played organ part is particularly interesting. Her work transcends genre boundaries and encompasses classical, soul, jazz, ethno-pop, world music, rock. She is also active in the field of digital production. “Music Stories by Natascha” Natascha has generously supported many benefit concerts (before the accident) and charitable initiatives.

Maria

Maria Makarenko

Maria is a musician from Russia, concert organist and teacher. She is the winner of several Russian and international competitions. She plays the organ, piano, harpsichord and celesta.

Alison

Alison Malcolm

ARCO, (DipTCR), FISM

Alison was educated in Salisbury and studied the organ with Martin Neary, James Lancelot, Colin Walsh, and Anne Marsden Thomas. She was awarded the Kimberley Marshall Scholarship to study at the Organ Academy in Gothenburg where she studied with Jacques van Oortmerssen, Ludgar Lohman and Kimberley Marshall. Alison is now Director of Music at Amesbury Abbey Church where she has a large choir. She teaches organ privately, supported by the Diocese of Salisbury's Pipe Up! scheme which subsidises organ lessons for organ students under the age of 18.
