Emma Paterson
Emma is an organist living in the Guildford area. She is currently working towards her ABRSM grade 8 with Katherine Dienes-Williams. Emma has also been a Cathedral chorister for 9 years, and plays the piano, harp and 'cello to grade 8 standard and above. Emma is planning to go to university in the autumn, but hopes to pursue her love of playing the organ as much as she can.
Isabella Patrick
Isabella is a student, who is an aspiring organist and composer. She also plays the violin and piano, and sings in church choirs as an alto. Isabella started learning the organ in 2023 and has been captivated ever since!

Janet is a retired Director of Music at St Michael's, Malton.

Judith Pendrous
GBSM, LTCL, DipAdvRAM
Judith plays the organ at St Mary's Priory, Abergavenny; she also accompanies choirs, & teaches piano & organ. She fell in love with the organ whilst a piano student at the RNCM - & before long had transferred to the organ completely. She went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music, with David Titterington & Nicholas Danby. After leaving London, Judith became the first female Organ Scholar at York Minster, after which she was Organist, & then Director of Music at the Birmingham Oratory.

Kerstin Petersen
Organ soloist Kerstin Petersen performs internationally and offers innovative facets and playing techniques of the queen of instruments to the audience. Her main focus lies on new organ solo and chamber music, for which she collaborates closely with composers from all over the world. She founded several duos such as organ-gong, accordion-organ and also teaches organ for professionals and enthusiasts. Artistic references: Main Church St. Michaelis, Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, Organacademy Gothenborg, Orgelpark Amsterdam, HfMT Hamburg, Symposium Vision Churchmusic. Sharon Peterson
Sharon is an Organist and Pianist active in the Chicago, IL, area. She plays regularly at a church, seminary, and university and serve as Collaborative Pianist for community, university, and professional choirs. Her specialties are vocal coaching, including Swedish and Norwegian language coaching, and classical Saxophone repertoire. She is an active member of both the NorthShore and Chicago AGO chapters.

Marion Peutherer
MA, FCIPD, LRSM, CRCO
Marion fell in love with playing the organ at the age of 15, studying with Jean Cooper Smith, who inspired a life-long love of JSB! She focused on playing her bassoon during her music degree and didn’t get back to the bench for 18 years. Realising the error of her ways, since 2012 she has studied with Michael Stoddart, Michael Haynes & James Parsons, pursuing long-held ambitions to achieve various diplomas, alongside a busyworking life as an HR manager for a global FMCG. She also enjoys singing with Newcastle Cathedral’s women’s choir, Schola Cantorum.

Alice Phillips
Alice Phillips is Headmistress of St. Catherine’s School, Bramley which has hosted the Jennifer Bate Organ Academy, since 2004. Alice played the organ briefly in her teens, but at university moved to choral singing and conducting and is a member of the Guildford Chamber Choir. She takes great pride in the reputation of St. Catherine’s as a ‘home’ for women organists and in the illustrious list of alumnae of JBOA who also continue to support its work.
Beverley Phillips
Beverley is Director of Music at St Mary’s Anglican Church in North Melbourne and part of the music team at St Francis Roman Catholic Church in Melbourne. She is also the accompanist to Ballarat Choral Society and gives occasional recitals on organ and harpsichord. She is the Western Region member of the RSCM Vic Committee and lives in the bush outside of Melbourne. She has performed the Clavierubung III for a Masters recital. Nearing retirement, she takes pride in accompanying liturgy and directing a choir to her very best ability.

Tina Langeberg Phillips
Tina studied piano from an early age at the Nõmme Music School in Tallinn, Estonia, and gained a degree in choir conducting and music teaching at the Viljandi Culture Academy. She worked with a large number of children at the Nõmme Cultural Centre teaching singing and organising concerts.
She studied organ with Marika Kahar at the Kaarli Church (Charles Church) in the centre of Tallinn.
Tina came to England to study organ in London, but soon afterwards moved to Norway, where she worked as organist on the west coast and later in Oslo. She also did concert work and music teaching.
Returning to England, she held the position of organist at St. Barnabas, Beckenham, playing the Father Willis organ. In addition to her musical work, she also worked as an interpreter.
Now in Edinburgh, Tina is teaching piano and also composing music for piano, organ, and computer.

Rachel Pickering
MMus, CRCO
Rachel is based in Twickenham in south west London. She is a liturgical organist, playing for weddings and funerals, as well as for Sunday services.

Lucy Piercy
Lucy is Director of Music at St Dunstan's , Mayfield and also teaches organ and accompanies various ensembles. Lucy's earliest influence was cathedral organist David Poulter, with whose help she became organ scholar at Jesus College, Oxford. Lucy's chief passion is all things Bach!
