Anne

Anne Ellis

ATCL Recital in Organ

Anne took organ lessons whilst at College of Education, but school teaching, marriage and a family took over for the next 20 years. Anne later accepted several church jobs as Director of Music. In 1997 she passed the Archbishop’s Certificate in Church Music. In 2001 Anne accepted her present post as Director of Music at St Mary Magdalene Church, Tamworth in Arden, Warwickshire. Under Henry Fairs’ tutelage she passed first Grade 8 organ and in 2009 ATCL Recital in Organ.

Kathryn

Kathryn Emerson

Kathryn is the organist at St Barnabas Church, Linslade, in Bedfordshire. She also enjoys choral singing, playing the bassoon, and is a Psychology lecturer at City, University of London, with research in the field of Psychology of Music.

Emily India

Emily India Evans

Emily is a 21-year-old organist and soprano studying at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge where she is Senior Organ Scholar. Emily has held organ scholarships at St David's Cathedral and St George’s Chapel, Windsor. Emily enjoys singing Early Music, and has participated in masterclasses with Emma Kirkby at the Dartington Summer School, and is a current member of Genesis Sixteen. Emily’s recent and upcoming organ recital venues include Queens’, Sidney Sussex and Trinity College, Cambridge; Worcester Cathedral; St Davids Cathedral Festival and St Mary Magdalene, Newark. She studies organ with Jeremiah Stephenson, and singing with Miriam Allan.

Rosemary

Rosemary Evans

GTCL, FTCL, ARCO, PGCE

In 2019 Rosemary was appointed Organist at St. Alphage, Burnt Oak, Edgware and played in a masterclass with Ulrich Böhme at St. Thomas Church, Leipzig. She has been Chair of Newbury & District Organists’ Association since 2010 and a Director on the IAO Council since 2018. She studied at Trinity College of Music and was awarded the Cardnell Organ Prize, and taught at Downe House for many years where she was chapel organist. Latterly she taught piano and organ at St. Mary’s, Calne whilst also being Director of Music and Organist at St. Mary’s, Kintbury and then St. John’s, Newbury.

Lorraine

Lorraine Everett

Lorraine has been the organist and choir director of St Augustine's Church, Thorpe Bay, since 2011, when she returned to her childhood church - having been a member of the choir from 1980 and assistant organist from 1984-1996. She was fortunate enough to have been taught by Anne Marsden Thomas during her undergraduate years, and subsequently by Frederick Stocken, when working towards her CRCO (then CertRCO).

Fiona

Fiona Evison

PhD

Fiona is a Canadian composer and researcher who has served as a church accompanist and choir director for decades, with congregational music research related to the pandemic, technology, and care. Her research on collaborative composition and choral singing for well-being builds on Fiona’s relational composition theory. She is on the Association of Canadian Women Composers’ board and edits their Journal. She was recently on her local Royal Canadian College of Organists chapter’s executive.

Katia

Katia Farn

Katia is an organist from Sheffield, originally having studied with Derek Grover at St John the Evangelist's, Ranmoor, she has also studied with Christopher Stokes at Chetham's School of Music. Katia specialises in contemporary and less well-known music, as her aim is to bring more musical variety to the organ world. Katia currently studies composition at Birmingham Conservatoire with Andrew Toovey and Howard Skempton.

Tanya Farrell

Tanya is an organist based in London. She works full time as a lawyer and is the church organist at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Wapping.

Organist, composer, singer/songwriter and pianist. Awarded Service Playing Certification from American Guild of Organists. BM, California State College, Fullerton. Organist nearly 40 years in California. Now living in Italy. Former organist Aldersgate United Methodist Tustin (10 yrs); Echo Park United Methodist, Los Angeles (19 yrs); St Barnabas Episcopal, Eagle Rock; Laguna Country United Methodist and Temple Judea, Laguna Woods (9 yrs). Piano accompanist for vocal production department (1981 – 2019) American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Hollywood campus - vocal production and music theatre performance classes. Accompanist for independent singing teachers. Lifelong spirited and joyful performer of original songs and instrumentals.

Janette

Janette Fishell

DMus

Janette Fishell is Professor of Organ and Chair of the Organ Department at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University. Active internationally as a performer and teacher, she is also a lifelong church musician with numerous published sacred choral and organ compositions. Currently, her two passion projects are the completion of Velvet Revolution, recordings of the complete solo organ works of Petr Eben for Brilliant Classics, and research for a book on organ pedagogy.

Rachael

Rachael Forsyth

BA, MMus, AFLM

Rachael is a woodwind and piano player who is now based in Somerset. She has been teaching since graduating university in 2005 and is a passionate teacher and composer. In 2012 Rachael toured Italy to perform her new work for solo saxophone and discuss her life as a female composer. She plays piano for local community pantomimes, amateur dramatic productions, choirs and services. Rachael is now adding learning the organ to her musical repertoire and is enjoying the challenge.

Nicky

Nicky Fraser

ARCO, BMus

Nicky has been an organist for 13 years, having been raised as a pianist and string-player. She studied at Glasgow University, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and the National Centre for Orchestral Studies. There, in 2011, she joined the New Edinburgh Orchestra as organist for their performance of Saint Saens’ Organ Symphony and in 2015, as soloist in Poulenc’s Organ Concerto. She is currently the organist at the Sacred Heart Church (Edinburgh). Nicky also gives recitals and during the week, teaches piano and organ.
